First day of the Boardwise demo in Dyfi. Stayed over the night in a B&B so I could get an early start and test the new 07 kit out. First of all collected my new toys I bought from Boardwise, a new wetsuit a kitesurf harness and a 2 yr old 4m sail that I desperately needed.
First of all tried the F2 Spice and a new Rushwind 5.7m sail and was going along fine, had a few runs and then changed boards to a the Starboard Isonic. With the wind Easterly; it was hellish gusty so I was overpowered at times and then I'd suddenly be underpowered.
Tried all sorts of kit and had about 5 or 6 hours in the water in total. Later on pumped up the kite and got it flying to test out the new harness but it was too gusty which wasn't that pleasent so I quickly landed that and went back out on the windsurfing kit. In all a great day with the sun out and a nice 16/17C in Mid Oct!
Not worth a 5 star session with the gusty Easterly winds and launching from the Dyfi sides which is much harder than Ynslas. Later went to the Dyfi Inn hotel with the majority of the other people there and the starboard/Tushingham reps and had a fair few Magners.
